When Skyler Schmidt heads to Ocala to interview for his dream job, his old Ford Ranger barely coasts into the parking lot of Chevy’s Diner, the only place to eat in the tiny town of Panther Creek. There he meets Filmer Little, a retired town staple who loves to tell his life stories. With a blown transmission, Skyler gets stuck in the small town and books a room at The Wisteria Bed and Breakfast. The B&B is run by a country girl named Charlee McMillan who is betrothed to Mason Sullivan, whose family owns Panther Creek Ranch. It doesn’t take long for Skyler to realize that breaking down in Panther Creek was no accident, and while waiting on his truck to be fixed, he’s faced with some life-changing choices. As a recent college graduate and aspiring writer, Skyler promises to publish Filmer’s stories, and what happens next is all part of a divine plan.
