I am not a fan of romance unless there's some mystery or adventure in there somewhere. This author did a great job to not bore me with too much gushy romantic fluff. I really enjoyed the cop elements which brought the action/adventure into the story. I was hooked on the story from the first page because of the opening scene, so kudos to the author for that. This is a Christian story that promotes waiting until marriage to have sex, which is a belief I share, so it was refreshing to read a book that deals with the temptation in the right way. There were times when the book got a little preachy, but not enough to be a turnoff, at least not for me. We need more books like this. Not every couple meet and fall into bed together before getting to know one another. Again, I'm not a romance reader, but this book had more than that, and it was enough to make me want to finish the series eventually. I received this book as a freebie in a contest and wanted to give the author an honest review. Give this one a try. It's an easy read.
